As part of the “Cyber Attacks against Companies” project, a second survey of companies with ten or more employees in Germany on the topic of cyber attacks was conducted between July and September 2020.
In particular, the survey focused on the development of different types of cyberattacks, their consequences for the affected companies, and possible factors that can increase or decrease the risk of being affected by such cyberattacks. In addition, the impact of the Corona crisis on IT security was also investigated.
This project was funded by the initiative “IT Security in the Economy” of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi). Additional funding is provided by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the VHV Foundation.
