Project description |
The aim of the research project is an extended replication of the studies conducted in 2013, 2014 and 2018 on right-wing extremism in Schleswig-Holstein. The focus is on a representative survey of around 3,000 seventh and ninth graders in Schleswig-Holstein. In particular, changes in the prevalence of right-wing extremist attitudes and actions among young people are examined. Acts are recorded in such a way that the bright field data on right-wing extremist crimes (PMK-rechts) is supplemented by the dark field in order to provide a more realistic view of the overall phenomenon. In addition, the social environment of young people, such as family, peers, school and extracurricular youth work, is included in terms of its influence. There is also a focus on current phenomena such as conspiracy mentalities, to which a not insignificant proportion of the increase in right-wing extremist crimes and right-wing extremist attitudes can be attributed. The results of this dark field investigation will then be compared with the available bright field information and documented in a final report together with recommendations for action.
