As part of the project “Cyber-attacks against Companies”, a nationwide survey of 5,000 companies with ten or more employees on the subject of cyber-attacks was conducted between August 2018 and January 2019.

In particular, the survey focused on the prevalence of different types of cyber-attacks within a year, their consequences for the companies affected and possible factors that can increase or reduce the risk of being affected by such cyber-attacks.

This project is funded by the initiative “IT Security in the Economy” of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi). Additional funding is provided by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the VHV Foundation.
