New project “Analysis of trends in crime committed by immigrants in Schleswig-Holstein”

In 2015 and 2016, the State of Schleswig-Holstein has accepted over 43,500 asylum seeker (as of Oct. 11th 2016). As part of the research project, the crime rate is to be determined within this new population group, among other factors depending on the country of origin, residence status, professional qualifications and the perspective to stay. In addition, the offense and victim structures should be examined more closely and put in relation to the total population.
